We want to provide our customers with high-quality products at an excellent price-performance ratio. To guarantee the satisfaction of our customers, we look for manufacturers that combine these key elements: technical capacity, quality, price and speed of delivery.

We manufacture our products in a wide range of countries which has grown over the years, as different countries have become market leaders in high-quality manufacturing processes. These include the United Kingdom, Portugal, Italy, Spain, Viet Nam, India, China, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

We understand how important fair labor practices are to our customers. Therefore, when we are considering a new manufacturer or looking at the performance of an existing manufacturer, we need to take into consideration a number of factors. We use a wide range of information sources, including visits, local agents and feedback from other retailers using this manufacturing site, to ensure that each supplier meets our standards. New information occasionally becomes available and we need to revise our decisions, but based on the information available to us, we always operate according to fair and ethical practices.

Independent 3rd audits are required every year from all factories where we manufacture our products. You can access Charles Tyrwhitt's Modern Slavery Statement and Ethical Trade Policy in the legal section of our website.

Why Asia?

The Far East uses the most modern technologies and skills; They have the best facilities in the world, to produce non-iron shirts.

Why don't you make more products in the United Kingdom or Italy?

  • The majority of our shoes are made in India (through a UK manufacturer) and in Portugal, our luxury range is made in England.
  • The luxury ties and pocket squares are made in England and Italy.
  • Cashmere scarves are made in Scotland.
  • The fabrics of luxury suits, jackets and overcoats are British or Italian.

Unfortunately, investment in infrastructure and training has not been sufficiently sustained in the UK manufacturing sector. We wish it had! If we could make everything in the United Kingdom and still maintain our level of quality and competitive pricing, we would.

Has your quality dropped?

Rather the opposite; We believe that our quality has improved for all products. We have asked our factories to manufacture products according to a very strict quality control procedure and to set up a team whose role is to monitor this before the items are sent to our customers.
